Under the same assumptions that reduce general relativity to Newtonian gravity, semi-classical gravity reduces to the non-linear time dependent Schrodinger-Newton (TDSN) equation. I've been investigating the TDSN equation for a self-gravitating particle and found that for an isolated non-interacting particle, large mass wavefunctions collapse under the particle's own gravitational potential. Small mass wavefunctions spread like a free particle, but are more reluctant to do so.
